Spring 2021 INNOVATIVE PR TEAM
Kylee Julian: Agency Manager
Kylee Julian got her undergrad in Public Relations from the University of Central Missouri (graduating in Spring of 2019). She is originally from Platte City, Missouri and got her Associates from MCC-Longview in 2017. Kylee interned for Staley Farms Golf Course in the summer of 2018, serving as their event coordinator and oversaw their social media accounts. She also interned with the Warrensburg School Foundation after having a successful semester working with the organization for Innovative Public Relations (IPR). After working as an account specialist and then an account coordinator Kylee became the account manager for Innovative Public Relations. Kylee has also studied abroad in Australia and plans to study abroad in Germany next summer. She also works in the Integrated Marketing Communication office for UCM on the social media team. Kylee is currently working towards her masters and is excited to see where the world of public relations takes her.
Ashleigh Horn: Account Coordinator
Ashleigh Horn is a junior in the Public Relations program at the University of Central Missouri. She is originally from Warrensburg, MO. Ashleigh has gained social media management experience in her current position as the Assistant Social Media Coordinator for the Learning Commons at UCM, as well as developed several leadership qualities in her roles as Vice President and Fundraising Chair of the Robert L. Kendall Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter. She is passionate about creating and building community among publics, organizations and individuals, and is excited to use this passion to fuel her work in the PR industry. Ashleigh is completing her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration; she graduates in May 2022. In her third year at UCM, she’s excited to expand her knowledge about the ever-advancing world of PR. She plans to take every opportunity to see the industry up close and personal by jumping at opportunities to gain first-hand experiences.
Sebastian Szczurows: Account Coordinator
Sebastian Szczurowski is a senior in the Public Relations program at the University of Central Missouri. He is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Sebastian interned at the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce in the summer of 2020, serving as their social media intern. While there he managed all his organization’s social media pages and also helped to design several event posts and reminders. Sebastian is currently working towards his bachelor’s degree in public relations. He is excited to see to what levels this program will take him in his future professional career.
April Wood: Account Coordinator
April Wood is a junior in the Public Relations program. She is also getting a minor in Finance. She is the current treasurer of UCM’s branch of PRSSA. She is also a member of the National Millennial Community/ GenZ Council – an organization with only a few members per state that is dedicated to changing the conversation between organizations and the younger generations. April hopes to work in Investor Relations following her graduation in May of 2022.
Emily Schaper: Account Specialist
Emily Schaper is a senior in the Public Relations program at UCM with a minor in Marketing. She is from Saint Louis, MO, where she completed a summer internship at Commerce Bank on the Brand Marketing team. Emily was responsible for generating talking points, maintaining social media, and developing news releases. Working on the team helped her grow professionally by giving her real-world experiences and a deeper understanding of how a business environment operates. Overall, Emily is excited to graduate in May 2021 and see where she goes from there.
Hannah Staul: Account Coordinator
Hannah Staul is a senior in the Public Relations program at the University of Central Missouri. She is from St. Charles Missouri. Hannah interned with Centene Corporation in the summer of 2019 as the Corporate Communications intern. She assisted with social media creation and monitoring, video production; created overall video that showcased the intern experience, and edited copy materials such as news releases, biographies and blog posts. She also served the PRSSA team for multiple semesters as the social media officer and philanthropy officer. Hannah is currently working towards her bachelors degree in public relations with minors in marketing and advertising. She graduates in May of 2021 and hopes to be working in media relations or community relations.
Maxlyn Wilbanks: Account Specialist
Maxlyn Wilbanks is a senior in the Public Relations program at the University of Central Missouri. As a Warrensburg local, Maxlyn is excited to obtain her Public Relations degree from her hometown in the spring. She is also minoring in Business Administration, Marketing, and Advertising. Maxlyn has gained experience with her PR degree within her internships. She gained social media experience during her internship with KCIABC as well as writing experience as the PR intern for the GenWhy Leaders Podcast. She recently accepted a Marketing internship position at the Warrensburg Missouri Medical Center and an Event Coordinating internship at Milestones. She has also gained experience through her secretary position with the Public Relations Student Society of America. Maxlyn has a passion for writing and is excited to start applying her knowledge in the real world through IPR.
Elizabeth Ewell: Account Coordinator
Aspire and you can achieve. Elizabeth is a diligent public relations student, driven to help individuals. She has a passion for social media marketing, and real estate. In both fields she can use her creativity, writing, design, and storytelling skills together to create a major outcome, giving clients their desired vision.
Faith Ford: Account Specialist
Faith Ford is a senior in the Public Relations program at the University of Central Missouri. She is originally from Belton, MO. She interned at Perfect Game Midwest, formally known as Midwest Sports Productions, in the summer of 2020. While there, she developed skills in press release writing, social media management, video editing, event planning, and media relations. In her time at UCM, Faith has been involved in multiple organizations and has expanded her knowledge of public relations in leadership positions within these organizations. Faith will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and minor in Advertising in May 2021.
