Blake Hedberg: Agency Manager/Graduate Assistant
Blake Hedberg received his bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from UCM in May 2017 with a Marketing minor. Blake is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. He is fascinated with consumer research behind purchasing decisions, consumer behavior, and qualitative studies. Blake served as an account specialist with Innovative PR in Fall 2016, where he worked with the Dean of the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies on a social media re-branding project.
During his undergraduate studies, Blake interned with Chick-fil-A Lee’s Summit as a PR/Marketing coordinator, expanding his skills beyond the classroom. Blake also stayed involved in several extracurricular organizations like the Public Relations Student Society of America and Sigma Pi Fraternity. Blake hopes to live in Kansas City while working in the agency sector of public relations.
Kylee Julian: Account Coordinator
Kylee Julian is a Public Relations major from Platte City, Missouri. She interned for Staley Farms Golf Course in the summer of 2018, serving as their event coordinator and oversaw their social media accounts. She is currently interning with the Warrensburg School Foundation after having a successful semester working with the organization for Innovative Public Relations (IPR).
This is Kylee’s second semester working in IPR and she is very excited to continue to learn about the industry and her new clients. This past semester Kylee studied abroad in Brisbane, Australia with the University’s Public Relations department. There she learned how Australia runs public relations and international travel functions compared to the U.S. After graduation Kylee plans to return to UCM and get her Masters in Business Administration while staying very active in the Public Relations program.
Jasmine Scott: Account Coordinator
Jasmine Scott is a senior Public Relations major and Marketing minor from Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She has successfully completed two internships in her field; one at a local hospital in her hometown, and the other at International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) in Hampton, Virginia. After her internship came to an end, she was offered a job to continue working for ICM remotely. Through this, she has developed a passion for working on the creative side of things, especially graphic design.
Jasmine is an active member of her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. She was previously a community advisor and involved in the housing organization, NRHH, at UCM (UCM Housing). Upon her graduation in May, she hopes to continue doing freelance work while obtaining a master’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Georgia.
Emily Thole: Account Coordinator
Emily Thole is a senior Public Relations major with a Marketing minor, from Manchester, Iowa. This is her second semester with IPR. Emily has a passion for writing, social media and working with people. Last semester, she worked with Johnson County United Way, where she helped develop a donor packet and social media calendar. Emily also worked on The Winders Group account where she developed a social media calendar, social media content and blogs for the website. Over the 2018 summer, she interned at the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce in her hometown. There she networked with businesses, ran social media platforms, developed content for events and much more.
On campus, Emily is involved with the Jennies Track and Field team, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Love Your Melon and she is also a student ambassador for Amazon Prime. After graduation in May, Emily hopes to pursue a career in a non-profit or athletic setting.
Meredith Trapper: Account Coordinator
Meredith Trapper is a Public Relations major from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. She served as the vice president of membership for Delta Zeta. Meredith completed her internship with Warrensburg Main Street, where she served as the event coordinator.
This is Meredith’s second semester working in Innovative PR and she is excited to challenge herself as an account coordinator. After graduation, Meredith hopes to pursue a career in public relations in the sports industry.
Maddison Armbruster: Account Specialist
Maddison Armbruster is a senior Public Relations major and Political Science minor from St. Louis, Missouri. She has previously worked as the Marketing and Public Relations intern at Clearent, LLC. where she created newsletters, press releases and content for social media. With a dedication to functionality and a curiosity for what’s ahead of the curve, Maddison strives to continuously create a variety of projects for this dynamic industry. She thrives on creative challenges and enjoys building strong relationships along the way. Her experience in the public relations world keeps her work practical, relevant and creative.
This is Maddison’s first semester working in Innovative Public Relations. She is eager to improve her skills, take on new challenges, and continue to learn more about the public relations field.
Amanda Ferrin: Account Specialist
Amanda Ferrin is a senior public relations major at the University of Central Missouri. This is her first semester working in Innovative PR, and she is excited to step outside the classroom to work with real clients. This past summer she worked for the travel agency Marbella Tours in San Jose, Costa Rica. She spent her time cultivating relationships with international audiences and producing content in English and Spanish.
She is currently working as the marketing intern for Powell Gardens, where she assists in community outreach and marketing efforts. She is also the marketing coordinator for Youth Excited About Sports in Warrensburg. After graduation in the spring, Amanda hopes to work for a non-profit.
Jessica Gough: Account Specialist
Jessica Gough is a senior public relations major from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She is interested in graphic design, event management, photography and promotional work. Jessica has previously interned with Powell Gardens as their marketing and development intern. There she managed communication with members and worked with other personnel to create and distribute the Garden’s summer appeal, which more than doubled its goal of raising $20,000. Currently, Jessica is working with Pepsico as their marketing intern at UCM. In this role, she creates social media content and hosts events to create exposure for PepsiCo products throughout the community.
Jessica is excited to begin her time with IPR, and hopes to take advantage of her many skills here. She is eager to expand her public relations knowledge, and work with her team members to create superior work for their clients. After her graduation in May, Jessica hopes to move to Kansas City to pursue a career in public relations.
Hannah Treat: Account Specialist
Hannah Treat is a senior Public Relations major from Raytown, MO. She loves getting to utilize her creative and analytical skills through Innovative Public Relations and her internship with the Baptist Student Union in Warrensburg. This is Hannah’s first semester in IPR. With a challenging final semester, she is excited to gain as much experience as possible before heading into the career field.
Hannah is also an employee at the Elliott Student Union where she gets to help with social media content as well as use her favorite hobby, calligraphy. If she isn’t on campus she can be found in one of Warrensburg’s local coffee shops. After graduation in the summer, Hannah hopes to work in public relations for either a non-profit or the tourism industry.
Amanda Walls: Account Specialist
Amanda Walls is a senior Public Relations major and Marketing minor from St Charles, Missouri. She has a passion for event coordination and planning. Last summer she was the Marketing Intern for the St. Charles Convention Center where she ran their social media, designed marketing materials, and wrote press releases.
Amanda is heavily involved in her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. She has held two executive council positions, including Chapter President. Amanda currently works on campus at the Harmon College of Business as a receptionist. Upon graduation in May she hopes to find a job in the event planning industry in her hometown.
