Spring 2018 INNOVATIVE PR TEAM
Blake Hedberg: Agency Manager/Graduate Assistant
Blake Hedberg received his bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from UCM in May 2017 with a Marketing minor. Blake is currently pursuing an Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. He is fascinated with consumer research behind purchasing decisions, consumer behavior, and qualitative studies. Blake served as an account specialist with Innovative PR in Fall 2016, where he worked with the Dean of the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies on a social media re-branding project. During his undergraduate studies, Blake interned with Chick-fil-A Lee’s Summit as a PR/Marketing coordinator, expanding his skills beyond the classroom. Blake also stayed involved in several extracurricular organizations like the Public Relations Student Society of America and Sigma Pi Fraternity. Blake hopes to live in Kansas City while working in the agency sector of public relations.
Morgan Anderson: Account Coordinator
Morgan Anderson is a senior Public Relations major from Overland Park, Kansas.This is her second semester working for Innovative PR. During the summer of 2017, Morgan worked at Proventus Communications as a Public Relations Creative Intern. There, she worked alongside others to create advertisements, get articles ready for the press and did research for clients. After graduation, Morgan would like to find a job in the Kansas City Area, close to her family.
Mark Bartlett: Account Coordinator
Mark Bartlett is a Public Relations major from Lamar, Missouri. He is also pursuing a minor in Business and Administration and currently serves as treasurer of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Mark interned at Aspen Contracting in Lee’s Summit, where he worked in the marketing department and helped the recruiting staff with their design projects. This is Mark’s second semester working in Innovative PR and he is excited to expand his education outside of the classroom. After graduation, Mark hopes to pursue a career in the agency world, but is open to the many career paths Public Relations offers
Ashley Perry: Account Coordinator
Ashley Perry is a senior Public Relations major from St. Charles, Missouri. She is excited to be back with the Innovative PR team and cannot wait to start another awesome semester. Ashley interned with Hanger Connected Closest where she was a campus brand ambassador for UCM. She specialized in social media content and wrote blogs. On campus, she is involved with her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi and is the captain of the UCM Mulekickers Dance Team. After graduating in spring 2018, Ashley is hoping to find a job in the agency field where she can continue to grow as a PR professional.
Sarah Schroll: Account Coordinator
Sarah Schroll is a senior Public Relations major from Madison, Missouri. This is her second semester working for Innovative PR. Last summer, Sarah interned with Special Olympics Missouri, where she assisted in a variety of communications projects including enhancing promotional efforts for events statewide. Sarah’s on campus activities include being a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and she currently serves as Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America. After graduation, Sarah hopes to work in agency PR. She is excited to join Innovative PR for another semester so she can work with her team to help maintain and advance the agency’s brand.
Adriana Vivas: Account Coordinator
Adriana Vivas is a senior Public Relations major from Boonville, Missouri. She is the graphic artist at the Elliott Student Union and an intern for the LAUGHH Foundation based in Kansas City. At the Elliott Student Union, Adriana is in charge of creating all the graphics for promotions and social media. She also assists in event planning and marketing efforts. With the LAUGHH Foundation, Adriana works year round on LAUGHH’s social media. Every summer, she travels to South America and is in charge of LAUGHH’s social media for their annual medical mission trip. This is her second semester working for Innovative PR and she is excited to put her skills both in graphics and PR to work.
Morgan Berk: Account Specialist
Morgan Berk is a senior Public Relations major from Columbia, Missouri. She has a background in design and is also pursuing a minor in Professional Photography. During the summer, Morgan was the communications intern for NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri, where she specialized in designing graphic content for social media and writing press releases and letters to the editor. This is Morgan’s first semester working for Innovative PR, and she’s excited to gain more real world PR experience while still in school. After graduating in May, Morgan would like to work for a nonprofit organization where she can use her PR, graphic design, and photography skills to make a positive impact and grow as a PR professional.
Alexus Jackson: Account Specialist
Alexus Jackson is a senior majoring in Public Relations at the University of Central Missouri. She currently holds public relation chairs and outreach chairs for multiple organizations at the University. Although Jackson is committed to producing her best work for each client, she takes an interest in helping those in beauty and similar fields like fashion and cosmetology. She enjoys expanding the local presence of her sorority and helping other small companies benefit from her use of PR. Alexus plans to graduate UCM in December of 2018.
Sydnie Kerr: Account Specialist
Sydnie Kerr is a senior Public Relations major with a Graphic Design minor, from Kansas City, Missouri. Sydnie currently works at KMOS-TV as the development administrator where she develops social media content, manages current promotions and creates corporate proposals. She also interned with Callis Intergrated Marketing as a Design/PR intern. There, she designed digital and print advertisements for clients and assisted with current campaigns. Outside of work and classes, Sydnie is the recruitment advisor in Phi Sigma Pi, National Honor Fraternity and is one of the captains for the UCM Color Guard. She hopes to pursue a career in the agency business after graduating.
Sydney Skaggs: Account Specialist
Sydney Skaggs is a senior Public Relations major from Farmington, Missouri. This is her first semester working for Innovative PR. Over the summer she interned for Studio 573, a local beauty salon, where she ran social media platforms as well as monitored the company’s website and blogs. Sydney’s on campus involvement includes the Women’s Basketball team and she is a member of PRSSA. After graduating this spring, she plans on finding a job in the St. Louis area with an agency where she can further her experience in the PR field.
Myles Vann: Account Specialist
Myles Vann is a senior Communication Studies & Public Relations Major from Kansas City, Missouri. He works as a Communications/Programming assistant in KMOS, designing program guides for KMOS-TV a PBS Station. He recently interned for CommunityAmerica Credit Union as the Social Media & Content Intern, where he developed content for all the social media channels. Myles is also a member of Public Relations Student Society of America as the Promotions Chair creating promotional materials. This is his first semester with Innovative PR and he is excited to put his design and photography skills to use.
