A unique aspect of Innovative PR is that it is managed by a graduate student. This gives the student management and mentorship experience upon graduating with his or her master’s degree before entering the work force full time.

After managing Innovative PR for the past two years, it is time to pass the torch to someone else.

I am extremely excited to leave the student-led agency to the leadership of Jonathan Haile.

Jon was a PR specialist with Innovative PR during the fall 2012 semester and coordinated video and digital production for the #teamUCM campaign, which received a Kansas City Quills award. He developed many relationships with UCM Office of University Relations professionals and leaders in the UCM community, including President Ambrose. These relationships will make the transition to Innovative PR’s new leadership a smooth one.

Jon also has experience outside of the University that make him well-rounded and a good fit as Innovative PR’s new manager. He recently served as a marketing and community relations intern at Western Missouri Medical Center. Previously, he was an intern for Semicolon Communications where his focus was copywriting, SEO and social media monitoring.
